Birthday Boy - Prince in My Tower

Hello there - happy Sunday!  I had such a good time yesterday hanging out with my daughter & her boyfriend and some of our friends and their adorable babies.  Babies really make you remember what life is all about.  Here are the little cuties, this is Melrose and me:

And this is Lena:

Aren't they just precious?  Before we know it, they'll be graduating high school and growing up on us.  Man, life just flies by!  I try so hard to enjoy every moment, to cherish my memories but to also enjoy today.  I think I do a pretty good job of it.  :)
.........................................................
So today I have a boy card to share:

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:

I used Prince in My Tower from Sami Stamps, colored with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  I added a Birthday Boy sticker & an anchor charm to finish it off.  Peace.

Alicia Bel - Hello Friend

Happy Friday!  And it's a LONG weekend... yay!  So it's also the 5-year anniversary of the motorcycle accident that Jeremy's dad got into and lost his wife.  It's definitely a tough anniversary.  Jeremy's birthday falls on Memorial Day weekend, so we have had a party that weekend ever since the kids were babies.  It happened to be the day of our party when the accident happened  - we were at the liquor store getting beer when we got the phone call, and our lives changed.  We stopped having our parties after that - but we decided that it's time to party again.  So I'm really looking forward to this weekend, to remembering those we've lost and to enjoy spending time with the loved ones I'm still lucky enough to have with me.

One card to share today, I love these gothic images from Alicia Bel:
