By Lori Designs - Surprise Challenge?

I hope I'm 3rd.... hee hee By Lori Designs is having a surprise challenge where the first 3 people to post a card will win Lori's ADORABLE wedding couple image!  So here's what I made - a PRINCESS in honor of the royal wedding.  :)

I used Princess Lollipop on Very Vanilla cardstock with coordinating DP from SU! and paper-pieced her dress.  I cut flowers out of the paper to use as embellishments, and tied ribbon around the card.  Peace.

I am entering this cute pirate card into the:
Digi Design House Challenge- Paper Piecing

I decided to turn my pixies into pirates to go along with the theme of the hop - to make this card, I distressed the heck out of some Very Vanilla cardstock by SU!  I also used the following Tiddly images:  Treasure Map, Pirate Banner, and Treasure Chest.  I colored with Prismacolors & mineral spirits, paper-pieced the pirate pixies dresses, and added some "bling" in the form of clear gemstone brads.  I even printed out little mini eye patches and adhered them on, then drew the "strings"... LOL  I then tied some krafty-looking twine around the card.  I hand-wrote "Pixie" on the pennant and "Pirates" on the banner.

As a special thank you, I am offering one random commenter on today's post a prize - so make sure you leave a comment  to be entered to win one image of your choice from the Tiddly Inks shop!  Winner will be announced on my blog next week.

I loved the Party Time  image so much, I also decided to use it for my daughter's birthday card:

Sweet 16 - that's my girl.  I used Only Orange cardstock from Stampin' Up! and the DP is from Scrapbook Wizard.  Ribbon tags were made from snippets of SU! ribbon in my stash.  I printed out the "16" and used SU! punches - I hand wrote the "SWEET" inside the pennant.  Button is from my stash.

Just a little reminder that Tiddly Inks will be having a sale May 1-3 to celebrate it’s first birthday. If you are interested, visit the SHOP and then plan to create a fun project for the challenge or the next blog hop on May 10 that is open to everyone. You can check out the details on Christy’s blog HERE. It will be part of TI’s fun birthday party celebration and the special prize for the that blog hop will be a chance to win a digital stamp customized and designed for you.
Thanks so much for hopping in our Treasure Hunt. I hope you enjoyed seeing all the new images, some beautiful cards and visiting with our special guests and regular designers!  Now......

You're getting close to the end, mateys - don't stop now or you'll have to walk the plank!  Peace.

Busy Week! Wedding Card Challenges

Holy cow - this week has FLOWN by!  I cannot believe it's Friday already!  I have been so busy with card orders this week, I haven't had much time to create challenge cards.  But yesterday's order was for wedding cards - so I decided to enter one of them into a few wedding challenges:

I used the adorable Christy Croll wedding couple stamp from Stamping Bella, and I used the "spotlighting" technique, which I adore.  Cardstock is Whisper White & Basic Black from Stampin' Up! along with coordinating DP.  Satin ribbon & clear gemstone brads from SU!  I printed out the sentiment with my word processing program.

While we're on the topic of weddings, I guess congratulations are in order for the ROYAL COUPLE - so congrats to William & Kate.  I did not watch, I wasn't as fascinated with the whole thing as so many people seem to be, but I'm still happy for them.  :)

Have a great weekend - peace.

Delightful Inspirations and some Easter pics

Good morning!  Well, it's gloomy and rainy again this morning but at least we got to enjoy a beautiful day for Easter!  After I post my challenge card, I have some Easter pics to share below.  :)

I used the adorable Bullfrogs and Butterflies image that we received for FREE last week for playing along the week before... colored with Prismacolors & mineral spirits as well as markers.  Cardstock and DP is from SU!  Button & ribbon tag are from my stash.

Now on to the Easter pics!  My sister Michelle (Shell) and her family hosted an Easter brunch for our family and her husband's yesterday morning.  It turned out great, and we all had a wonderful time.  This is me and my boy Trev, I look like a midget next to him (he's 17):

And this is me and my girl, Cass - she just turned 16 on Friday:

This is my Cass with my goofy nephew Eric (he's 20 and GOD that sounds so weird.... LOL):

And this is my other nephew Josh (he's 13) with Cass - can you tell who was enjoying the photo shoot yesterday?  hee hee

Last - this is my 3rd nephew Christopher (he's 10):

Then the kids and I (Jeremy had to work) visited our friends Missy & Dan and their kids, this is me with Calli and Molli:

This is Calli and Molli with Cass:

And this is Molli posing with her cool Easter hat:

Last - we stopped at Gram's on the way home to say hello, and we were lucky enough to get some Elianna time!  Jeremy's cousin Leia is one of my favorite people in the entire world.  Her and her husband Steve had a baby girl about a month ago, and she is just DELECTABLE!  :)  See?
 Cass with baby Eli:
 Mom (Leia) and Elianna:

So that was our day - hope you all had a wonderful holiday and spent it with people you love.  Peace.

Just Some Lines - Paper Piecing

Good morning - happy Easter!  Today is my very first time posting as a DT member for Just Some Lines.  I decided to do a bit of a paper-piecing tutorial for digis - if you'd like to check it out please visit the Just Some Lines blog for the tutorial.  Here are some cards I made using this technique and digis from Just Some Lines.

I am entering this first one (below) into these 2 challenges, as well:
Polka Doodles Challenge - use 3 Patterned Papers
I used "Amber April Showers" for this one.  I love how her boots match her raincoat.  I think this is my favorite card for today.  :)

I used "Amber April Showers" for this brown/red/pink/vanilla cutie below, too:
I used "Emo Crystal" for this next card, which runs a close 2nd for my favorites:

This little cutie below is called "Gab" and is one of the newer digis available at the Just Some Lines store:

And this last card was made with "Emo Amber - a little birdie told me":

As always, I colored my images with Prismacolors & mineral spirits, and filled in with markers here and there.  Cardstock & DP by SU!  Some ribbons are from SU! and others are from my stash.  Buttons are from my stash.
I hope you will check out my posting at the Just Some Lines blog and maybe leave me a little bit of love (comment) over there, too?  ;)  xoxo  You guys are the best.  Hope you all have a happy Easter, however you spend it. Peace.

Sweet Stuff

I am loving the nicer weather we've been having, I have left my house more in the past week than I did all winter!  LOL  I think I am suffering from some allergies, though, I seem to get a headache in my face (sinus pressure?) every time I leave the house.  UGH.  I don't even care, though, it's worth it to see the sun shining.

I have 2 cards to share with you today - this first one is for the following challenges:
I used this adorable Sugar Sticks digi image from By Lori Designs and colored them with Prismacolors & mineral spirits.  I used cardstock, DP, ribbon and brads from SU!  Colors are Whisper White, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery, and Basic Gray.

The next card is a card I made for my daughter Cassidy's birthday yesterday, this one was made for her grandfather to give to her.  His gift to her was to pay for her Driver's Education class, so he wanted me to make her a card "with a car on it" - hee hee  I knew I was up to THAT challenge, and it came out so cute that I decided to enter it into the following challenges:

I used Sassy Suzi from the Greeting Farm, the word "Sweet" from the "Sweet & Toxic" set at TGF, and drew the "16".  The corvette digi image is from Doodle Palace (she WISHES she'd be driving a corvette... she's stuck with my 2002 VW Jetta for now... LOL).  I colored with Prismacolors & mineral spirits, as well as my SU! markers.  Cardstock, DP, punches & ribbon from SU!
So most of you know that Cass turned 16 yesterday - I took her for her driving learner's permit first thing in the morning.  She was so cute - she was terrified.  hee hee  She did fine, she passed.  So then I let her do some driving for a while - I had forgotten how exciting it is to drive when you're 16.  So cute.  She told me "anywhere you want to go, I'll take you.  If you want to go to Mexico, you just tell me and I'll drive."  We live in Massachusetts.  ROFL!  :)  I love this kid.  OK have a nice weekend and peaceful and happy Easter tomorrow, my friends.  Be sure to come check out my blog tomorrow, it's my first day posting as a DT member for Just Some Lines.  :)  Peace.

Gothic Pin Up!

I had a blast making this card and couldn't wait to share it with you all!  LOL  Who appreciates a card the way fellow crafters do?  Nobody, that's who.  :)

So this is about as close to creepy and gothic as I can get, I think - I just can't help doing cute!  LOL  Here it is -

Isn't she... wicked cool?  "Made for you" girl and "you are a doll" sentiment are both digis by Tiddly Inks.  I colored her with Prismacolors & mineral spirits.  I wanted to throw a splash of color in there, so I used a red Prismacolor marker for her lips and shoes.  Cardstock, DP, and glitter by SU!  Stitched ribbon & buttons are from my stash.

This card is being used for the following challenges:

I hope you enjoyed this little peek into my... ahem... dark side.  ;)
Peace.

Happy Birthday Cassidy, One Stop Craft Challenge & Bellarific Friday

Today my "baby" Cassidy (Cass, as she prefers) turns 16 years old.  H*A*P*P*Y  B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y  to my princess!!!  I had to make something altered for a challenge, so I decided to make her a birthday gift.  It's for the:

One Stop Craft Challenge #127 - Altered

I found this old box that my cell phone came in, and decided to alter that - here are the "before" pics:

And here is what it looked like "after" - it's just something she can keep her change and little treasures in:

She's a Taurus, so I used a digi image from All That Scraps zodiac line.  The designer paper I used is from SU! in So Saffron, Old Olive, and Taken with Teal.  I used some charms I had saved from Cass's old bracelets and stuff - buttons & ribbon are from my stash (some SU! and some from My Favorite Things).

We're taking her to get her driver's permit today - I can hardly believe it.  The years just fly by, let me tell you.  This is her as a little girl, 4 years old:
And now this is her, looking all beautiful and teenager-ish, last Fall:
No matter how old you get, Cassidy, you will always be my baby, my girl, my daughter.  If there's anything I can promise you, it's that I'll always be here for you and that you'll never doubt how much I love you.  Happy sweet 16th, Cass.

And the last thing I have to share with you today is my card for the Stamping Bella Bellarific Friday Challenge, which was a "free week" meaning we could do anything we wanted.  I made this cute card with the new Arthur & Annie set:
I colored their hair and skin with Prismacolors & mineral spirits, and paper-pieced their clothes.  I used SU! cardstock, DP, and ribbon.  Hope you all have a nice weekend. Peace.

Catch the Bug - Easter

(Second post for today - scroll down for more!)
I have one more Easter card for you today, it's my 2nd entry into the:

I wanted to use this adorable Eggbert Bunny image from Bugaboo to enter their challenge again, so I did.  :)  I used white Fun Flock for the bunny, Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits on his ears, hat, flower & heart.  Brads are SU!  Ribbon is from my stash.  DP is from Pressed Petals.  Peace.

Easter Challenges, D2D & Saturday Sketch

Good morning!  I had the house to myself for almost the entire day yesterday - I cleaned for a while and then spent some time making a few cards before dinner.  I love when I can craft at my leisure, it's nice to be able to stop in the middle of a project and not have to worry about cleaning up my mess right away, and be able to go right back to it when I'm ready.  :)

So I have a few cards to share - first is a card for 2 challenges:

I used the digital stamp Ladybug Balancing Act from Designed2Delight and colored them in with Prismacolor markers.  DP is from DCWV, punch and rub-on sentiment from SU!
Next I have 2 Easter cards, this first one is for the following challenges:

I used a freebie from The Greeting Farm, Easter Anya, colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Sentiment & Easter egg are from Michelle Perkett Studio.  Celery ribbon & glitter from SU!  Other ribbon & button from my stash.
Peace.

This week is FLYING by!  Holy cow - I can't believe it's Wednesday already!  LOL  I have 2 cards for you today - first is my card for the:

I used this sweet image called "Missy's Therapy" from Whimsie Doodles and colored her with mostly Prismacolor markers (her skin is colored with pencils/mineral spirits).  I used all different ribbons and DP's in purples from my stash.

Next is my card for the:

For this one, I used one of Sugar Nellie's Maggie stamps, and colored her with Prismacolor pencils & mineral spirits.  Cardstock, DP, brads, ribbon & glitter all from SU!  Colors are mostly Not Quite Navy, Bashful Blue & Old Olive.

I'm thinking about taking my daughter to the flea market in Derry, NH on Saturday - anyone ever been there?  I have not, but she has - since Friday is her birthday, she wants to go get a new purse.  I am just wondering if it's worth the drive (about 45 minutes)?
Peace.

Woke up to a gray day...I really should dust and vacuum, but what do you think I'll end up doing?  hee hee  Yeah, probably making cards.  :)  Hey, at least the laundry's all caught up!

I have been trying to make some boy cards, since my card collection is sorely lacking in masculinity!  ;)  So for the:
